The ZM1040 nixie tube was made by several manufacturers. The different tubes differ only in the internal construction. The main electrical and physical parameters are the same for all of them. The ZM1040 has a red coating to improve contrast. The ZM1042 is identical but does not have the red coating.
This particular tube was made by Tesla of the former Czechoslovakia.
